How IBPS Calculate CWE Scores For Clerk,PO/MT,Specialist Officer Recruitment ?

Though a number of candidates appear in different IBPS Common Written Examination (CWE) in every year, most of them are unaware about the process of calculating the CWE score by IBPS. The only thing candidates know about the CWE score is that there would be one mark for each correct answer and 0.25 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. But the calculation of the final test scores is not exactly same as that mentioned above. IBPS uses some methods to arrive at the final CWE scores for each section considering the difficulty factors of each test. It is nice for all candidates to know about the process of arriving the standard scores and the final score in IBPS CWE recruitment and we are providing you the exact details here in this post.

How IBPS Calculate Total Weighted Standard Score for Clerical, PO/MT SO Recruitment ?

• Corrected Score In CWE : The initial stage of the calculation of the scores is by calculating the corrected score after the online CWE. Correct score means the marks obtained in each section which is calculated by counting the correctly answered marks after applying penalty for wrong answers. For example if a candidate attended 34 questions, out of which 8 are wrong, then the corrected score will be 34-2=32.
• Equated Score : The equated score is calculated by considering the difficulty level of each section at different sessions. Since the exam is held in different sessions, the difficulty level of a particular section is different in all the sessions. For example, for a particular section in a session the average score obtained by the candidates is less than comparing to the average scores in all other session. Then IBPS will calculate an equated score which will cancel the affect of the difficulty level.
• Final Standardized Score : IBPS uses the linear transformation methods to arrive at the final score by taking the mean and standard deviation of the equated score. The final standardization score will be then round off to the nearest integer.

IBPS Clerk Recruitment 2014

IBPS conducts recruitment for the posts of clerk in various public sector banks on the basis of vacancies in different states and UTs. That means candidates can apply for clerical posts in any one of the states or UTs only. So that the CWE center will be in the chosen state or UT. In some cases there may be some different centers from what candidate has applied.
Last time, the online registrations of IBPS clerical recruitment started in the month of August and it lasted almost 3 weeks, you will get it clear from the exam dates specified in the above screenshot. So, we are expecting that IBPS will start the online registrations of Clerical recruitment 2014-15 in the month of August or September. And the exam dates will be 2 to 3 months later from the last date of online registration.

IBPS PO/MT Recruitment 2014

Before moving to specify the expected exam dates of upcoming IBPS PO/MT recruitment for the year, we are going to remind you some important information regarding the minimum educational qualification and age limit which caused a lot of confusions in the previous PO/MT recruitment. Last time IBPS reversed back the minimum qualification and age limit from 60%, 20-28 respectively to the old ones for general and all other category PO/MT candidates. But in the upcoming recruitment for the year 2014, there will not be any chance that IBPS will hold the old criteria. So be careful before starting the preparation for IBPS PO/MT recruitment 2014.
Previous IBPS PO/MT recruitment online registrations were started almost a month before the clerical recruitment process. So we are expecting the same also in the year 2014. Expected starting date of online registrations is in the month of July or August and the exams (CWE) will possibly on 2-3 months later.

IBPS Specialist Officer (SO) Recruitment 2014

IBPS started the online registration process for the year 2013 with Specialist Officer recruitment and it also started in the month of January. Like the same chances are really high that IBPS will start the online registration for SO recruitment in January 2014. We request you to be prepared and wait for the very next IBPS recruitment. Exam (CWE) will possibly on the month of March or April.

IBPS RRB Recruitment 2014

Each of the RRBs in India conduct the recruitment based on the IBPS CWE score. It was authorized by NABARD. IBPS RRB recruitment is for the posts of Officers (Group A) and Office Assistance (Group B). There are 62 Regional Rural Banks in India. RRB recruitment is an online process. You will get the expected exam dates of RRB recruitment 2014 from below.

Last time IBPS announced RRB and PO/MT in the same month. So, for the year 2014, the chances are high that online registration for IBPS RRB recruitment will start in the month of July and the examinations will possibly conduct either in September or in October 2014.
